The American Legion is strongly supported by the American Legion Auxiliary. Their members include family members of past and present Legionnaires. They work on projects to support our post and promoted the American Legion in our Community.
The Auxiliary also enjoys time with their friends and post members at community events. Here is just one of the events they participated in:
Caldwell July 4th – posted Jul 10, 2011 1:31 PM by Lee Heavlin
Caldwell, North Carolina, and friends gathered to celebrate the independence of our country. What better way to start 4th of July off than having a parade! All of the participants were bright eyed and bushy tailed as the community came together to recognize and show our appreciation to those who have served and those who continue to serve in order to maintain our freedom. From veterans to toddlers, the parade was well received by all and was a true testament to patriotism.
Following the parade, we gathered for a small picnic. This was a great time to reflect on the parade, share stories, and mingle with friends. The food was fantastic, too! A special thanks go out to the Post and those who were gracious enough to bring an item to add to the spread. I believe that it’s safe to say that no one went home hungry!
