Marathon Jam Returns – Feb 25th
John Santa, a local musician and event organizer, announced today that the Chapel Hill Marathon Jam is returning to American Legion Post 6 on Saturday, February 25th. The Post has made our facilities available in previous years and we are pleased to welcome them again. Learn more
This year’s Marathon Jam coincides with the National Day of Service for Musicians.
Last year’s Marathon Jam included simultaneous participation by The Bagdad Boys, musicians serving overseas in Iraq. Read story
The Marathon Jam gathers people and players from all walks of life and across the globe together for a day of public service. In recent years, the focus of the Marathon Jam has been to give tangible support to our service members and their families as they recover from injuries sustained in the line of duty by raising money for the Fisher House Foundation. There are two Fisher Houses in North Carolina. They are at Camp Lejeune and Fayetteville. Watch this site for more details as they are announced.
