Our members are often members of one or more additional veterans, civic, fraternal or religious service organization. Veterans are active. They care.
We are very proud of our youngest members who have fought in or supported operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and other conflicts. They served and then came to Chapel Hill for studies. Yet, they take time each fall to hold a food drive to serve the community and veterans. These men and women are making a difference in this and many more civic projects.
We are the host to other veterans and civic groups for fundraisers and service projects. Be it a Marathon Jam, building bikes for kids at Christmas, providing space for a schools supply store for our teachers, or opening our doors for other veterans. We also provide space at a nominal rate as a community service.
