Read moreTroop 505 announced that their Court of Honor will start as usual with a heart-warming Flag Retirement Ceremony. The troop will present 81 Merit Badge awards that have been earned, 17 Rank Advancements, and two Special Awards. The Court of Honor is scheduled for Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.

Read moreOur post is 93 years old, but Chapel Hill’s Boy Scout Troop 39 has been serving Chapel Hill even longer. It celebrated 100 years of service this week. The troop gathered at Chapel Hill Post 6 on Memorial Day weekend to remember, renew friendships, and celebrate their centennial year. There was barbecue, games, ceremonies, displays, and plenty of troop alumni.
