Happy 100th – George Chall
Chapel Hill Post 6 is honored to have in our midst several members who have reached 100 years of age. This week we celebrate Dr. George Chall.
George is a decorated soldier and one of the World War II veterans featured in the NBC News Anchor Lester Holt’s coverage of the 75th Anniversary of D- Day. “NC to Normandy” told the story of how students from Chapel Hill NC raised $25,000 to send two local World War II heroes, George Chall and Jacques Machienzi, back to Normandy for the 75th anniversary of D-Day. George was a medic and treated may severely wounded soldiers.
You will have a chance to help George celebrate his birthday at the Post’s October Meeting on October 11th, 2022.
