Military Missions in Action Seeks Volunteers

Military Missions In Action is excited for all that is going on in 2014.  They are seeking veterans’ assistance with any or all of the following events and happenings.

MMIAMMIA’s American Heroes Home Build in Oriental, North Carolina, is still in the works.  They are in the process of starting the framing of the home and are in need of volunteers, time, expertise, and materials.  If you or know someone who would like to help, please email MMIA at info@militarymissionsinaction.org.

On April 23 and 24th MMIA is  in need of 10 volunteers each day at the North Carolina Southern Women’s Show to help pack goodie bags.  The hours would be from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. or until they get them done.  Whoever helps in packing the bags will also receive a ticket into the show for that weekend.  MMIA needs volunteers to help their Executive Director, Michael Dorman, in manning the booth.  Volunteers are needed Friday, April 25: 10 am to 8 pm, Saturday, April 26: 10 am to 7 pm, and Sunday, April 27: 11 am to 6 pm.  Volunteers can also split into shifts based on when you can volunteer.  If you would like to volunteer for any of these times, please email MMIA and let them know the dates and times you are available.

MMIA’s  2nd Annual Hike2Help is May 24, 2014, at Cannon Park in Pinehurst, North Carolina.  If you would like to come out and show support for Military Child Access Assistance Program (MCAAP), which assists active duty service members who have children with special needs, please visit mcaap.weebly.com.

Be sure to visit www.militarymissionsinaction.org to sign up for automatic updates on the projects and events that are going on.

MMIA thanks everyone for all of their continued support to Military Missions In Action, our veterans, military, and their families.  Volunteers are the heart of the organization and without your assistance and dedication, MMIA would not be able to continue to do what they do.
