Open House at Post 6 – May 27th

Our Post Home is open to the public on Monday, May 27th.  You are welcome to join us at 10 a.m. to tour our home and see a display of military artifacts and collectibles owned by our members.  We will also have a few World War II and Vietnam era military vehicles on display.

At 11 a.m. we will have a Memorial Service to remember our departed members and especially those who died during the past year.  We’ll announce their name and ring a ship’s bell to honor them.  Our Memorial Service, like the thousands of other American Legion Memorial Day events, recognizes the sacrifices our men and women in uniform have made for over 200 years.

At 12:30 we are honored to have the Chapel Hill Village Band with us to perform a special concert.

Maple View Mobile Ice Cream will be on-site, so be sure to bring the children and grandchildren.
