Quilts of Valor on Veterans Day

Area veterans, their families and you are invited to attend a very special Veterans Day Ceremony, Monday, November 11, 2019 at 2 PM in the Friends and Family Hall at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Chapel Hill. The program is sponsored by the Stars of Hope Quilts of Valor Group to honor and thank active duty military members and veterans for their service to America.  

John Turner, founder of the NC Veterans Life Center will talk about a new innovative residential facility being constructed in Butner to help at-risk 21st Century veterans. The goal of the center is to provide each resident the prospect of a constructive and personally satisfying role in civil society. The UNC Air Force ROTC will present the colors. Quilts of Valor will be awarded.  Dulcimer music will be provided by the Hawfield Jammers. Refreshments will be served.
